Questions & Answers

Here, we’ve collected the questions we’re asked most often and answered them directly.

  1. Processing fee if you decline the repair: After you drop off the machine (including a description of the issue), we will give you a non-binding estimated price based on the information you provide. If, after opening the machine/performing the diagnosis, it turns out that additional work is required, you will receive a written quote from us; you are free to decide whether to accept it. If you decline the quote, we will charge a flat fee of EUR 50.00 for diagnosis and processing.
  2. Payment: Payment is due when you pick up the machine in our shop (cash/debit card/card) or in advance by bank transfer. If you pay in advance by bank transfer, you must provide suitable proof of payment (e.g., a transfer confirmation) if the incoming payment has not yet been posted. Payment on invoice is not possible.
  3. Warranty/Statutory warranty: For parts replaced or repaired by us as part of a repair, you will receive a receipt; these parts are covered by a statutory warranty of 6 months from pickup/acceptance. Damage caused by descaling that has not been performed or has been performed insufficiently is not covered by any warranty or guarantee. This also applies after a repair or service—especially in cases of limescale buildup in thermoblocks, boilers, valves, or lines. The customer is responsible for regular descaling in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
For new espresso machines and grinders purchased from us, the warranty period is 2 years for private customers and 1 year for commercial use.

For accessories, beans, and a quick chat, feel free to drop by spontaneously. For repair intake, dropping off/picking up your machine, or more in-depth advice, we ask that you book an appointment in advance—so we can take the time you and your request deserve.

Repair & Maintenance

Everything you need to know about our services, servicing, and repairs for your coffee machine.

We repair all classic portafilter espresso machines (e.g., E61, single boiler, heat exchanger, and dual boiler) — regardless of brand. We also service La Marzocco, Dalla Corte, and the Rocket R Nine One. If you’re not sure whether your model is included, just send us a quick photo or the model name by email.

Unfortunately, we do not repair devices from the following manufacturers: Melitta, Schärer, Bartscher, all capsule and pod machines, Tchibo, Küppersbusch, and Siemens.

No, we do not carry out repairs on capsule machines or coffee pod machines. Sustainability is very important to us, and in our opinion this type of machine does not align with that principle.

This question can’t be answered with a flat rate. The amount of work required and any costs for spare parts are key factors that affect the price, which is why we assess every inquiry individually.

Typically, the turnaround time is around 10 business days from the time you drop off the machine. This is an estimate based on experience and may vary depending on the scope of the repair and the availability of parts.

For a fee, we can provide you with a loan espresso machine for the duration of the repair (subject to availability), so you don’t have to go without your espresso in the meantime.

Yes, besides repairs, we also offer maintenance, cleaning, and other service work for coffee machines. Feel free to send us an inquiry using our contact form.

We’re happy to advise you—brief advice is possible at any time. For more in-depth, hands-on guidance, we recommend booking our portafilter barista course (Saturdays at 3:00 PM). There, you can test different machines and take the time to go through all your questions.

Whether it’s a tamper, milk pitcher, or knock box — you’ll find accessories with us that truly fit. From brewing to maintenance, we also stock filters, descalers, and coffee grease removers. And if you’re unsure, we’ll be happy to help you choose in person so your espresso workflow runs smoothly.

Yes, of course! Our NAPOLI espresso blend combines coffee beans from Ethiopia, India, and Colombia. With its chocolatey aroma and a subtle nutty note, it offers a harmonious taste experience that elevates every espresso moment. You can buy your espresso beans directly online here.

Yes, we also offer barista courses. At the moment, we have two different courses available.

Home Barista Course: In our in-store training session, you’ll get a well-rounded introduction to the world of coffee and work hands-on with your own machine and grinder (which you should ideally bring along). This way, you’re not learning on an unfamiliar setup—you’ll learn the exact settings, techniques, and workflow you use at home every day, for espresso and milk drinks that you can reliably recreate at home.

Portafilter Barista Course: Ideal if you’re still looking for the right espresso machine. You can test different machines at your own pace, experience the differences first-hand, and receive detailed, personal advice—so you find the solution that truly matches your coffee habits.

Yes, we offer both value gift vouchers and vouchers for our barista courses. Just send us your inquiry (and, if you like, the desired amount or the course), and we’ll get back to you.
